Under pain of death by her Ladyship I'm not decorating this week in the evenings, so Sunday night and last night I watched a few films.

Screaming Masterpiece is a documentary about the Icelandic music scene................

Amores Perros is one of my all time favourites................

Fargo is a Coen Brothers masterpiece. Very darkly comic!

I followed that up with one of their early classics - Millers Crossing....................

Not forgetting a star turn by Derek Thompson as the duplicitous Jeff. And an early screen appearance of Pierce Brosnan.
It is one of the greatest films ever in my opinion.

A couple of weeks ago, we watched 'War Horse' (on BBC I think). I was a bit sceptical before it started, but I have to say I was enthralled! Great film, and if anyone hasn't seen it, I can thoroughly recommend :dbgrtmb:

I'm a total convert. Whole series are available at the push of a button.

                I was a bit sceptical too so I gave it a miss......................[IMG]

It took a little getting used to but I was soon so totally hooked on the characters that I ceased to notice.

Agreed x10!!!!! Mr "M" set it up for record for me without me knowing beforehand, but, as I never made it to the stage version, I settled down to the film. I enjoyed it so much, I was crying through the latter half (that would make perfect sense to a woman if no sense to a bloke :heehee: )

Recently went to the flicks to watch Imitation Game: excellent!! Bit slow paced (and dh enjoys fast action stuff but even he enjoyed it!) but well acted.
