Victoria and Abdul  Watched it a couple of weeks back; very entertaining!
The best part is, it is based on the journals of Abdul which were only discovered in recent years.

Yep, that's the name. Hope to get there soon. will have to see show times and my schedule etc. I have been into netflix watching Miss Fisher Mysteries. that is easy can do in the comfort of my home. Not drive 20 mins to a theater etc. and I can have a glass of wine with it too.

I like Netflix. I can watch the sort of films my wife wouldn't like.

                Blade Runner 2049................

It's good but the problem is that it had very big boots to fill and it comes up a wee bit short. The original is better and if you haven't seen it then the new film will not entirely make sense as a standalone movie.

                  Watched ChristianeF the other day..............

I used to have it on VHS but I lent it out and never saw it again. It truly shows the hell that is heroin addiction without any niceties. One of the best films ever made but not an easy watch at all.
It should be on the school ciriculum if you ask me.

As you know, I rarely go to the cinema but the other week I did visit the bar where The Godfather's wife lived and the church where they got married. It wasn't actually the village that Mario Puzo based his ficticious Corleone family in (it was an actual village in Sicily). It's just that the one he mentioned in the book isn't very photogenic.

Those of you that have seen the film should recognise the places. :blue thumb: They said that 'everyone' has seen the films - but we haven't :noidea: (they said the same thing about the places we went to, the other year, where they had filmed The Sound of Music :nonofinger: :heehee:)

I know it's a couple of years old now but watched " Django Unchained " the other day.
Thought it was excellent and has now become one of my favourite films.

PS..... Managed to pick up a brand new still sealed copy for £1 off our market as well :) :) :)

Went to the flicks to see "Murder on the Orient Express" (the latest one :heehee: ). Never seen any of the other versions before, nor read the book, so I was interested to see the storyline.
Maybe the problem was that we went after I'd finished work :dunno: but ...

... I fell asleep for 5 minutes at the beginning  and when I woke up ... Mr "M" fell asleep for the next 15! :heehee: Not sure we missed much and, as it wasn't a fast paced film, it was easy to catch up on.

Not one I would race to watch a second time around but, the acting was very good and it was worth it just to learn the plot line :heehee:

I didn't know that I should have been looking for a cat but having said that I had no idea of the Godfather connection until my customer suggested that we stop there for a coffee. Lovely spot, exceptionally good coffee!
I have another car to recommission over there so I'll make a proper visit next time.
