Darnit, forgot the name of the old English horror movie. Set in the underground. The demented guy's only lines were, "Mind the Doors!"...

It is the night before Halloween :)

Just watched A Star is Born.
Just my kind of film ,great music ,great love story.
Not a Lady Gaga fan but she certainly nailed this ,stared and directed by the brilliant Bradly Cooper.
Different music to the two originals.

The end song by Lady Gaga.........beautiful.

I like "feel good films" these days. Even a lot of dramas on TV I find depressing.i.e. Luther "dark and dismal" so I didn't bother.

This was repeated on BBC2 the other night. But I've had it saved on my PVR for a few years.

        Nice story. Happy ending.

We saw Mary Poppins. It was very good. We've also seen A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody. All very good.

My wife wants to see the Laurel and Hardy film. I am hoping it will still be on in another month so we can see it on her birthday.

Please tell me that it's the original.....................

We watched the Swedish film A Man Called Ove. I koved the book and the film is a gem too. Rolf Laarsgard in the titular role is brilliant.

Watched Trainspotting for the first time ever last night. And tonight we watched the new Trainspotting 2. Very good and wasn’t distracted by anything as I struggle to concentrate on a whole film if i do not find it interesting.

Best film I've watched for a while was Destination Wedding, premise is awful but I was in stitches! They made a film of me lol

No, it was the Nicholas Cage version. Always fancied an Eleanor but stupidly bought a Fiat Spider instead ... one learns by one's mistakes!

              What!

Both great films. Trainspotting 2 succeeded because it didn't try to be the first one again. Unlike Bladerunner 2 which was a disaster.

Ha ha I know! I dont know how Id never got round to watching it. There was a third book released in March 2018...the final installment. I wonder if it will be made into a film.

God, I hope not. Leave well alone.
                It's a lesson that Hollywood keeps proving time and time again;
                • Get Carter - dreadful
                • The Wicker Man - even worse than dreadful
                • The Ladykillers - a car crash. And that was The Coen Brothers who are movie gods
                • The modern Star Wars films
                • The Godfather 3
                • Donnie Darko 2
I'm surprised that they haven't tried to remake the sequel to The Third Man yet.
