Water logged Soil advice

    It does sound like there's something else going on @RDB85 , so that may be trickier as further investigation would be needed. That depends on how keen you are to improve it all, and it could be worth trying a different approach with the planting first. A simple soakaway might even do the job. My Dad did one at our family home because of an area near the house where all the excess water collected. It worked very well. :smile:
    We're used to hefty rainfall here where I am, in any winter, but even then, the excess water would gradually disappear once conditions improved, so this is clearly not the same thing. This year, February was wetter simply because it was far too warm for it to be snow instead [which would be the norm] so there were quite a few waterlogged areas in gardens with bare soil, but they disappeared as the weather became more normal.
