Water recycling "Joey can”

I have just been told that mine have been dispatched so will tell you when they arrive..

I remember something similar donkeys years ago that we used to use to drain used engine oil into and them pour into a big can.. OH is also have a couple for that very reason as they have to drain oil regularly on the trials bikes..

 

Ours have just arrived. They're larger than I expected and seem quite good and sturdy.

I'm not sure how easy they are to handle if you've problems gripping things as they don't seem to have the handle in the best place. There needs to be a grip for one hand on the side opposite the spout.

 

Got mine yesterday, I think they will be useful especially for catching excess water when standing pots on top. I still can't understand how they managed to make any money, mine were sent Royal Mail and going by their price calculator it would cost more to post them than I paid in total

 

Got my three today as well.. Pink too.!

 

Mine are green.

 

What are we like, not only did we get a bargain but we still manage a moan....!

I've got pink too, perhaps we can bring them along to your Open Day shiney and swap colours.

Update: Used mine for the first time yesterday.

Our washing machine packed up and flooded the utility room and kitchen! We turned it off but couldn't get the door open as there was water in the machine. I called the engineer who said he'd come along but it would save time (and money) if we drained it down. To do that we had to open the filter, gently, so the water would come out under control.

How to do it efficiently? (Mrs Shiney's idea, not mine!)



The engineer thought it was a great idea, so we offered him one. He thanked us but said that all the modern machines don't have enough clearance anymore and he has to mess around attaching pipes to them!

Apparently they stopped making our machine about 20 years ago

It didn't take him long to fix the machine - had to replace the carbon brushes that had worn down to nothing, and he cleaned the filter out.
