Pal, Lyn went to Madeira last summer, you could pm her.
We are going next year so we can't advise yet, :D but know many folk who have been and all have enjoyed their stay.

Now that the house is up together I've started to rebuild the garden. The grass path under the clothes line was blasted away by the force of the water coming under those damn concrete gravel boards,so I have just laid 2x2 slabs left over from the patio build, raising it by 4"...Now Mrs Pal can hang her 'smalls' [IMG] :D on the line without too much of a stretch!

Next job will be to replant the borders which were also ripped bare by the flood.

[IMG] That looks an excellent answer for Mrs Pal there Pal. Shame the neighbours awful fence wasn't washed away in the flood...! ;) :D

:( A little sad to see your garden looking like that Pal, but I know you will have it all ship shape & Bristol fashion soon... ;) :D There's bound to be lots of plants going spare from everyone too later on..! :D

    Thanks all [IMG]

Bad news this morning though!..This Yucca took a battering back then too,I thought I had managed to support it until it rooted firmly again, but it appears to have suffered damage I was unaware of half way up. [IMG]

    Next question has to be...
How do I tackle the job preparing the beast for composting without puncturing a lung?.. :D

It's rather a big boy Paul..I'm wondering if I could try that by peeling off most of the leaves to help reduce wind rock,or would that prove too much of another shock?
