Those are lovely! I never did this with real roses, only with paper ones (waxed paper roses look stunning), I don't think I have any pics of them though.

:thmb: Well thank you all, they are fun & do look nice... I usually like the roses to be open more Ivory, but no amount of coaxing would make them open any more this year, hence the buds...! I bet the paper ones do look nice I vory as you don't have the risk od them discolouring...!!!!!:thmb: I think I might give them a try as well then..!:D

I will try making one to show you, if I have some of the right paper, they are really cute, and of course durable. Years ago I made a bouquet for my Granny, that she still adamantly refuses to throw away, even if they are by now rather dusty and miserable, but that is Granny love, what can you do. :)

 Hi Nathan, I am really not sure as I haven't tried them..... But I think it might be too delicate, rather like a pansy's petals. I think they would wither with the heat then cold plunge, but if you are willing to try then I would be interested to know...:D Sometimes we have to experiment to inventive..!!:D Do let me know..:thmb:

We have a minature rose indoors that keeps dropping buds and this morning I managed to knock off the only flowering bud.
I was remindered about MFs waxing..
    So....
Turned on the electric tart burning which just happens to have a coffee flavoured tart in at the moment.
Dipped it and it solidefied in seconds and it smells of coffee!
    Now theres a twist.

:) Hi ya, not a silly question at all... I always leave the stems as most flowers that are dip-able have suitable stems to dry.. I just dip the flower head. Rose stems & the like will dry woody so they are fine. I sometimes use some florist wire & tape to help stiffen others. If the stems dry out but are useless, then that's when the wire really comes in..:)
