Well, on my coat lapel I carry a Madam Curie badge which isn't metal but a soft material Daffodil and a Bee today landed on it and spent a couple of minutes trying to find the pollen while I looked down at him telling him it wasn't real......I'm not sure who was the bigger fool.:dunno::snorky:

Thanks ARMANDII....tact is not my strong point and, not deliberately, overstepped the mark. Put my hands up to it.
I will avoid commenting on similar threads, will post less lengthy advice and try to think twice before posting in future. :)

@Verdun Please forgive me in advance for any offense i may cause you ....but you clearly fail to see THE point here ...NOwhere in my post did i ask you for an apology. I just asked you politely to remove the what i and im sure other members consider as there have been agree's clicked on my request post the somewhat RUDE uncalled for Raspberry ....that as we ALL can see was 42 minutes ago and still it is there ...you then came in some two or three minutes after my polite request with a somewhat insincere apology ...and again the RUDE raspberry wasnt removed ...then to add insult to injury ...you amended your post to further explain....when that wasn't what was needed and STILL the Rude raspberry post remains ....I think from MY post 1st and 2nd post ALL i want is the Rasberry removed ...I dont need or want your explanation ...I did try to contact you privately but unfortunately for some reason you dont allow members to PM you ....so sadly i have now no choice but to bring this onto the forum ...IF you find these threads of mine are juxtaposed to your beliefs kindly do as my Mam says to us "If ya cant say anyfing nice...then say nuffing at all".....No response required just PLEASE remove your rude uncalled for raspberry....and as you have said yourself from further commenting!
        Thanking you in advance

@ARMANDII, love your bee story. That took the sting out of things!

BTW, if we are all sitting round a table, can I have a coffee?!

No thanks needed, Verdun, believe me. Firstly, I disagree with your thinking that you will avoid commenting on similar threads, and I disagree with you not posting lengthy advice, however, I do agree with you about thinking twice before posting in future. But the latter doesn't just apply to you, it applies to me and everyone else of the GC Gang.
I've lost count of the number of times that friendly, experienced, members have posted something and unwittingly offended some other member. We all, well, except me:doh:, learn from things that happen in Life and try not to fall into the same trap again..........but we're all Human.
So please don't stop giving members the benefit of your experience and advice as such advice from all members is the lifeblood, along with the friendliness, of GC and is what makes it so great.:love30::wub2::snorky:

For heaven's sake people! The bugs and bees don't give a darn what we say and the wind takes over where these pollinators leave off so I think we're all pretty good custodians of the earth so far..

@BeeHappy I don't think the admin would have added the raspberry symbol if they thought it would be offensive. I believe it was done in a playful way and from reading posts in the past, I saw that it IS used in a playful manner. Now some of these posts I believe are prior to you being active here so maybe you didn't see it when used lightheartedly before.

I have offered my apology via the "conversation" link to those I think I have offended.
Managed this time to delete the " raspberry".....believe it or not I did not realise it was a raspberry. I use this regularly as a FUN sign. I am a fun person, neither nasty nor deliberately offensive but clearly I got it wrong.
I am a passionate plantsman and simply try to help others by sharing any knowledge or experience I may have.
Cant do more than I have.......apologies hopefully accepted
I enjoy this forum and respect everyone on it
Canadian Lori.....on a lighter side the boxing analogy is fitting. Boxing was my sport ....quite good too...but I hope you wont need a ringside seat this time

Just like to point out I am neither upset or offended, was just wondering why Verdun felt the need to push his point across on this particular thread if the topic doesn't interest him...

No one is disputing that fact, your a very knowledgeable person and I respect that.

However, I do not respect pushing opinions/plants. For example. If someone is asking about a certain plant, yes mention the pros/cons but saying a different plant is better than it is like saying "my dad's harder than yours."

I do too, so please stop with the goading threads such as why Cornwall is the best. It didn't come across as a fun thread and I'm sure others agree.

On that note, I am off to the land of nod to dream about my mini minefield of oxalis.
