Nice one strongylodon, is that out in flower now, or was that taken last year?
If its this year, how early would it flower in a mild winter.

Love acacias - such nice leaves! Found last year they're susceptible to honey fungus, tho - wouldn't have thought so. Saw a really classic case of it, right down to the mushrooms, and smell! So watch out, S! ;)

It's just started to open in the last couple of days. I bought it 2 years ago 3/4 feet high and like nearly all my plants in the back garden it is in a large pot. It flowered last year late january so this year is a little overdue. The buds started to develop last august. There is a large Acacia Dealbata at the end of my road which hasn't opened at all. Mine lost a lot of buds in gales recently so the flowers are more sp**** than hoped for. [IMG]

worse than that - there's been a phantom tree -pruner round this area - if I could ever catch him at it!! And the worst thing is, that people must be paying him to do it!! (why he? well - these cowboys more often are!! sorry, guys! ;) )

The hedges look like they could do with some life..they look extremely boring..they looke uncared for as though some one has made minimal effort..the trees dont look good either but perhaps they wont look so bad when they are in leaf..I would rip all those hedges out and put something colourfull in them even some different sorts of grasses would like nice and be low in maintanance..the hedges look like my dog has been cocking his leg up them!!!
