Thanks jjordie - the signals are a reflection of my job (train driver) and one of my interests (railways!)

At one time I had a railway in my garden! Have a look at www.cobbybrook.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

    Thanks, too, Banana-man!

Hi I'm still finding my way round this site... I hadn't realised, until today, that there were so many pages attached to General Gardening Discussion!! Been having some blond moments I think.. Anyway I'm enjoying discovering all the topics and getting to know everyone. I've found some topics that I'd like to refer back to but days later can't remember where they were, is there a way of searching for things like that?

This is one posting I won't be showing my husband. I've already lost the garage to trains! Mind you , it does look wonerful - I just might show him your website and hang the consequences! Least he might take an interest in the garden at long last. Now there's a thought!!

[IMG] That was/is going to be fantastic Cobbybrook...!! My grandsons were most impressed & have been coming up with all sorts of ideas. We have several tracks laid out on boards. Have had hours of fun building scenery & tunnels & buildings... :D What would we do without papier-mache & Balsa.....???? ;) :D

Thanks, folks. The line in the website has been lifted to allow a major garden makeover, but it will be re-instated once things are sorted out.

I couldn't ride on my back garden trains - too small, but they did use proper steam to move. Alas the full-size ones I drive as the day job are only electric or diesel... :(

Papier Mache and balsa? Remember it all well! Thats how I started as a kid many moons ago. Gardening, however, is a far more recent interest - about five years to be precise, when we moved to our current house with its small back garden. We moved just two doors down the terrace, but thats another story... ;)
