Hello everyone! I thought I had overcome my weepiness but reading all these lovely messages has brought it all back, for both myself and t'other half. Candi was his little girl.

Thank you so much for all your kind words and sentiments, both here and for those of you who sent e-mails.

Candi is the sixth one we have lost, certainly the youngest, but it doesn't get easier.

We brought her ashes home this evening but will not do anything until the builders have finished.

We have always planted a tree or shrub in memory of our little ones and have chosen a Meyer Lemon for Candi because she was such a sweet little tart. [IMG]

I am going to attempt to paint her portrait. I have already prepared the canvas.

I feel priviledged and very proud to belong to such a forum with such genuine folk, some of whom have become dear friends.

Our thanks and love to you all. [IMG] [IMG]

A lot of us have been through this Sis, and for us pet-lovers it is like losing one of the family, and our pets are family.

I think I can speak for all of us - our thoughts and love are with you and t'other.

    xx

LoL, am very sorry to hear of your loss. You should feel proud that you were kind enough to give her the wonderful life and love she had for the time you were given together. May sweet Candi rest in peace. [IMG]

I will second what kedigato has said, I lost a german shepherd in tragic curcumstances and i still get upset to this day when i talk about him, he was one of the family when i was living at my parents and we all loved him.
I also after that had a sheltie and my house got broke into and my little lady went and i never got her back i broke my heart.
you will never forget and she will be in your thoughts forever, god bless her little cotton socks [IMG] [IMG]

So sorry to hear about Candida. I was reading about your bathroom this morning and hadn't realised until then that you'd lost her.
She looked a real little madam!
    :(
Perhaps she is waiting on the rainbow bridge

That's the one LoL... a bit of sentimentality always helps me when a pet dies.

Not looked at this thread for a while so I missed your sad news about Candida until now. I can understand how she will be missed. At least you gave her a (brief) life she wouldn't have had. Time will heal.
