    When I was growing up it was known that some of the "down and outs" would get arrested before Christmas as in prison they got some form of Christmas dinner.

      Yes, a gentleman of the road in our village and the local bobby had an agreement that the first would threaten to break a shop window and the second would arrest him. Just so.

        Surely 'Covid baby' should actually have resulted in the child being more advanced in certain areas such as toilet training and other activities. The parents would have spent more time with them, not less. I can understand interaction with others being affected, although our great-nephew certainly doesn't have problems in that area. He's a well adjusted 4 year old (if there can be such a thing:smile:)

        “More time with” doesn’t necessarily equate to “more quality time with” though. And parents not really up to the task denied contact with other parents get less informal learning opportunities about what is considered normal, expected milestones, etc.

        Gordon Brown used a felt tip pen a lot, but he did have problems with his eyesight rather than his brain.
