Yes, they look like quite same but I checked yesterday about 50 different Geum varieties and didn´t find anything which would match with original plant.

:wallbanging: Someone should name that plant again as "Flos mysterium" = flower mystery.

          Identifying plants can be hard.
id should always starts with the flowers...that decides what family it is in.

Geum ....is in the rose family....it has a flower with lots of stamen...like a rose.

          geum flowers - Google Search

So even if the leaves were exactly the same size, shape, texture, veins as your mystery plant it can be ruled out completely from any consideration.
Your flowers do not have many stamens...and are definitely not in the Rose family
          ..............................................................................

Take Quercus phellos as an example.

          quercus phellos - Google Search

It has thin narrow leaves...it could easily be mistaken at first glance as a willow.
But Oak tree flowers are different..oak trees go on to have acorns.
Willow trees have catkins that the wind disperses.

eg 2. Quercus castaneifolia ....another oak tree ...leaves look just like a sweet chestnut

          quercus castaneifolia - Google Search.
          ........................................................................................................

So yes leaves can help with id but ONLY when the flowers match up as well.

Hope this explains a little in very simple terms.

I have to say Silver Surfer.....you are amazing :). What an asset to the forum!
I grow lots of plants but identifying them as you do is very impressive. Time I have worked out the odd one or two you have named them!

                  Here is one more pic:

The flower hasn´t separate petals, they are joined to the stem of flower. If it drops down, it drops as whole (if I can now explain this by the right way…).

FLOS MYSTERIUM 23-07-2018 16-18-57.jpg Come on wiseowl...if you think you have an idea do tell us.

                    Saliha...understand about petals.
Your first pic of the flower is actually stunning./superb.

                    What we know........
                    Small.
                    White flower. ..5 petals..5 stamen.
                    Long stalks.
                    Alternate leaves.
                    Lobed leaves.
                    Creeping.
                    Stems looks wiry.
                    Hairy stems.
                    Deciduous.

                    Tender? Houseplant?

                    Driving me nut......YES!
Someone else may look at it and instantly recognise it...hopefully.

It is as ground hugging spreading and rather odorless and neutral.
