What an horrific tragedy ...

    I can remember a large pile up in fog around here probably 15yrs ago possibly more.
    i think it was on the M20 or possibly the M2.

    Anyway most of the deaths were due to the fire as I understand it.

    Fuel injection was blamed and I was under the impression most vehicles now have fuel cut off during a shunt.

    It appears this pile up burnt though:(

    Apparently, the first artic to go up was loaded with aerosols. The resultant fireball ripped through the following vehicles.

    Thank you all for bringing the mood back down to one of respect.

    It has been appreciated.

    There are members here who are still waiting to hear if someone they know have been involved in this. I know my immediate family are safe, but still don't know if it has affected others that I know.

    It's a criminal inquiry now;

    "Police say 'smoke bank' on motorway was 'impossible to drive through' , Police main line of inquiry is fireworks event at side of motorway - smoke caused 'fog-like bank"

    Condolences to anyone who has lost a family member or friend. A horrible tragedy.
