Would it not be difficult to prove that they were infested before they arrived here? Presumably these bugs could have made their way into our porch?

No HobNobs here, thankfully, and none in the office either - @ARMANDII gets to them before anyone, even those wee bugs wouldn't beat him.

Grain insects only live on grain/related produces, yes they could have come out of something else you have, but they don't live wild in the countryside like an ant would, if someone else nearby has infested bird food they could have come from them

Ah, so they have almost certainly come in with the seed then - I can't be bothered sending it back, so I will get Mrs C to use them up quick smart and I will buy the seed somewhere different next time.

Has the bag of seed got up and walked yet!
Some one i know stored grain, one shed had grain weevil in it (bad) and was moving with the bugs, he loaded it out to be teated and as the heap got smaller and smaller they looked for somewhere else, they found his house :snorky: the whole house had to be fumigated and he had to move out for over 21 days then spent 2 weeks cleaning

FC, when it comes to the end of the bag make sure you any bugs don't escape, why, because these little devil can hide in cracks for a long time (stay dorment) then when someone bings in a new bag they will dive back in, also the M T bag don't put in your bin, take it far way ;) and seal it well within 2 or 3 other bags (they can get out of tuperware box's) Good house keeping with these :dbgrtmb: has they can be hard to get rid of

I've taken another look at the bag today - there is a few of them in there, but not that many, and Mrs C is walloping it out to the birds to get shot of it. Its in the shed, so if they can find space in there to live, good on 'em I say, coz it is rammed full!
