You'd better fill the space quickly to rein in their ambition.

While watering the garden I found the Salvia Caradonna that I had bought in Spring. Poor plant. I hope it survives and I’ll give it a new place in autumn.

I put a load of washing out, which was mizzled on so I left it out as the forecast said it was going to be dry. Then we had rain from mid afternoon through until late in the night so the washing had a second rinse and was left out all night in disgust. It is now blowing nicely but a cold North wind.

I finally managed to pot on the remainder of my tomato plants. I live in hope I might have one or two tomatoes but the plants are tiny compared to what they should be.

Today, I have a day off. We have visitors, and I'm out this evening.
But everything got well watered this morning, which will help everything grow.

Good afternoon this morning I finished off the top shed with some bark chippings and painted the bottom shed the same shade of blue:smile:

Not sure if this is the right place but we harvested some more plums, more than we thought as the season has been so bad.
Just finished stoning, cutting and bottling them. The photo shows the next decanted elderflower wines hopefully settling out.
And just a glimpse of pickled onions from last year.

Okay, so he may damage some of my plants, but there again, so do cats, dogs, rabbits and children.

I might have to take some pix of my shed renewal @wiseowl - not quite as bright as yours though! Have you got new sunglasses as well?
At least you can see the transformation in your garden though - which is brilliant. I feel I've been slogging away at various things for ages, but because they're the 'replacing' type of projects [fence posts and shed rebuild] rather than a total change, it doesn't look as if I've done much at all.
I'm hoping to get the rest of the timber attached - or most of it, and some concreting done. Didn't get that far yesterday, as I wanted to get all the timber cut and painted. I'm a bit OCD about these things, so it's a belt and braces job. It'll last for another ten years at least, but it'll be nice to be just do normal stuff in the garden at some point again ;)
I had a lucky experience when I collected my stuff at B&Q the other day. They had some perfect chipboard offcuts in the 'take it if you want it' section, and you just leave a donation. Ideal for the inside of the shed. Couldn't get one bit in the car - half an inch too wide. Of course it was...
Fortunately, a lovely chap and his partner came along, and he said 'can I help you with that?' and with a bit of 'to me, to you' we got it in - or rather - he did! He also put the bags of sand/gravel in for me. Really lovely couple and I was very grateful to them both.
Unfortunately - it wasn't so easy getting it out at the other end! Daughter was at work too, so I had to get the saw and cut a corner off. :heehee:
                    All fine though.

And as you can see, this snail doesn't use a stick or have a dodgy ankle.
                          The rest haven't been domesticated.

For the last couple of days I've been ill in bed, I think it is some type of flu virus. which effects mainly my head , throat and every arthritic joint in my body. I'm even having to sit up in my adjustable bed to relieve my bouts of coughing. "It's not covid although it feels like it as I have taken the test"

LOL its not only bothering me but one of our staffy dogs, Hubby said "just like a woman" as Lucy hides under the bed coming out every-so-often to let me know all is OK!
Mr M never seemed to take an interest in my growing routine - but to my surprised has put his best foot forward in looking after toms and veg- watering them 2-3 times a day and making sure the veg is covered up with fleece on a night.

Hoping things will get back to normal soon, "keep well everyone"
