Done a bit today in the garden frost this morning but otherwise a sunny day. I've been doing some driving lessons on Saturday morning which stress me out so a venture out this afternoon in the garden was needed . Weeded the veg bed and planted it up with loads of old but still good size tulips they looked really nice last so same again this year .

        Last year display
        DSC03407.JPG

Been sweeping the path down as well they were covered in bits of plants and leaves .
The wall holding the tulips bed up needs rebuilding so I think that be next job or the honeysuckle will get attacked .

Have you ever seen the spring one? Same spot, through the kitchen window. We have over 400 Thousand bulbs. Yep, the zero's are right.

I do have my own thread here, somewhere, Redstar Gardens. shows years of pics of all my garden etc. Have not posted new in a while, but the same plants come up and bloom every year.

Watered all Geraniums removing a few manky leaves as I did, checked over the
Strawberries again tidying up along the way.

Gave a few cuttings in the greenhouse a drop of water and while in there I also gave the few Dahlias that had to be overwintered and the tender Fuschias a quick check up too.:) :blue thumb:

I checked my overwintering Begonia semperflorens in the perspex shelter and they were full of mildew so I cleaned it off, aswell as the dead leaves, and I brought them into the house. There's a tray full of them and a few more in individual pots. I've put them in the bathroom

Last week I did the same as you, @Upsydaisy minus the strawberries! Since then I've only been out to take a few photos & sweep the balcony of all the pigeon poo that makes it so dangerously slippery when wet!

I just started up one of my grow tents in the cellar and put the lantana, fritillaria and other blocks of seeds in there. They don't care for heat to germinate so the heat mat under the felt is unplugged. The uncovered tray under the small light near the front has germinated kelsaes so the light is adjusted to hover right above them.

I would have thought the Lantana would like the heat.

I have not done much in the past few days. Sunday was cold with snow showers. Yesterday was colder with snow showers with a high of -1c. Temps dropped to -7 overnight, with s similar forecast for the next couple of days.

So, yesterday I filled bird-feeders. Today I’ve melted a hole in the pond ice, which is about 2cm thick. I’ve found a shallow plastic tray to use as a birdbath, and filled it with lukewarm water. About 5 mins trying to tidy up some dead herbaceous leaves, then driven back inside with numb fingers!

re: the Lantana @Victoria I thought the same thing but until they actually germinate, heat is not needed. That is according to the instructions on the Plant World packet. I'm following the packet instructions because the seeds and postage cost me a pretty penny!

Today I will do a little tidy up of the other grow tent just to have it ready for when I start heat loving seeds. Both tents have a heat mat on the table surface but I'll keep the one turned off for now as per above.

@CanadianLori , what temperature are you germinating the Lantana at.
Being a half hardy it might prefer more heat than fritillaries.
