I've started pricking out the snapdragon seedlings, they're so small and fiddly to do.

Weeks ago a large pine branch (20ft in length) was brought down in the garden by strong winds. Today other half and I finally got round to cutting it up ready for burning. My goodness it was heavy as we tugged it into a position that made it easier to deal with.

          Hi,

Well done @Sheal It's strange isn't it that tree branches look a lot larger on the ground than they appear to be whilst on the tree. Tree work is always heavy. Do you suffer lots of tree damage during storms.

          Kind regards, Colin.

Good morning Mrs Woo in her infinite wisdom want a new lawn (Turf) so I shall be making a start on this area to day it means that yours truly will have to move all the bark chippings to the opposite side of the path:smile:

Labelled up some hellebore seedlings I'm giving away later in the year. Potted up a newly received Paeonia. After three inches of rain this week everything is wet under foot so it's working from the paths only, however do need to get some leeks and kale.

I have also, just worked from the lawn and path (did step into the bed just a little bit) and cut back and shaped a gold and green large Euonymus (or is it green and gold?). It was just over 7ft high and had a diameter of about 8ft. It is now 5ft high, 6ft wide and 4ft deep (leaving enough space to walk between it and a wall/window).

Cut out some of the old stems of the blueberries on the patio, the grass is too wet to walk on.

                    Hi,

WOW; the sun showed its face this afternoon allowing me to play out but up the mountain the breeze was bitterly cold.

I bought four of these butterflies through eBay but couldn't attach them due to our dire climate until this afternoon. This one's on the top garden hut.

The remaining two are on the big oak tree stump. They look pretty and unless the weather improves will be the only butterflies we see this year unless they can swim.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

Pulled some leeks, picked some kale, also picked the first sprouting broccoli (earliest I've known it)

The campsis I bought last year has died. Very aggravating.

I picked up some carex plants from home bargains and split those up to grow on a bit before planting out

Are you sure its dead, you often get dieback due to unripe wood, it could sprout from low down, they need full sun to ripen the wood.

I'll leave it and cross fingers but it was a young plant and is dead from ground up. Hope for the best eh?
