Good morning I have been moving the bark chippings since 7am in the drizzle like rain and I have the last 6ft by 9ft to go but Mrs Woo has put her foot down because of the muddy footprints on her tiled kitchen floor its not all my fault as Suzie and Bella have been outside as well:heehee::heehee::heehee:

I went to a farm that grows and sells turf and bought 5sq m for £20 :blue thumb:. It was cut from the field on Wednesday so it is very fresh. It's an almost impossible place to find. Satnavs to the place says their road doesn't exist (a private muddy track but has a name of Station Road) and the only way to work out how to get there is using Google maps aerial view. Very muddy and potholed track.

They also have 10,000 free range chickens and sell the eggs to shops. I bought a dozen very large ones for £2.

A good trip out to help the garden. :)

Dug out some ancient privet which had me wheezing. Possibly not a great idea having been ill for a month or so but I got it all out and collapsed in the recliner to watch Sharpe.

Nothing today it's been raining again. I wander if it's too soon to pot up the gladioli corms yet.

Not in the garden but i potted up 21 gladioli corms that have started to send out roots, started off with 12.I've put them in the greenhouse for a few days because it's going to be very cold for a few nights.

I got an hour out on the front re-potting three Hibiscus, and a Pentas, potting a Geranium and cutting back two other Hibiscus as the promised rain did not materialise. I also got J to cut back several Iochroma branches as it is growing like wildfire. That's all that needs to be done this week.

                          Getting fed up.
cant do much in the swamp and its still raining, so wandered off into the overcrowded greenhouse and took a few citrus rootstock cuttings, they might root, might not.
Put them into the propagator that is now fired up and ready to go.

I've sowed 4 honeycomb tomato seeds, if they all come up I think that might be enough for me regarding toms for this year, I really dont eat that many to be honest.

Scraped up some Datura seed out of the mud last week and they have germinated already in the airing cupboard, its amazing how you can clean and dry off some seed and pack it away carefully unyet some that has laid exposed on the surface of the soil all winter germinates so quickly.
