It's stayed dry so far today, for a change, so I went and did a bit more weeding/inspecting/breaking up the surface of the borders. The ground is still very wet, and I'm worried I may have lost some monardas and agastaches but they may yet reappear...
Now sat with coffee and cake, settled in for a read.... :)

What have I been doing in the garden? Nothing much but I’ve been thinking a lot - does that count?:) (hope I’ve used the right emoji there, it’s intended to be a smile, couldn’t find an embarrassed smirk). I’ve cut down remaining perennial stalks and given my roses some fertiliser but nothing much else.

Being new I’ve not been able yet to go right back through all the threads but @Perki, I love those steps. I gather you’ve been renovating the garden - a new, to you, garden? Did you do all of that work yourself/yourselves?

@Logan, did you start all those seeds indoors on windowsills? Our only window sills are in a small, cold conservatory so I use heated propagators for mine with growlights when needed.

Managed to get outside and dismantled (smashed up) an old grow house/cold frame thing. Then dismantled an old summerhouse door and chopped bits for firewood.

Also went to the tip. Not really gardening things-but things I did in the garden. Was pouring down all morning and pretty miserable and now-clear blue skies!

Planted most of my onions, uunder fleece. Picked two January king cabbages, not the greatest success his year, both tiny, the two did one meal. Also found this little guy amongst the hundred odd slugs in the outer leaves.

And I found some more miniscule sungolds in the rafters of the shed. Three even look edible

Cleared, improved soil and replanted a very wet clay corner. Hope everything survives.

I've got a cold conservatory, I grow them with a heated propagator but no grow lights. Every day I'll turn them to get the light evenly.

My problem is not much light with only 2 small sills. Said conservatory is in the return between house and adjoining wall so not an all round glass jobby. Over the last week I’ve been putting seedlings out in the greenhouse during the day.
Hopefully better weather is ahead now.
