I think it might have something to do with phone and laptop, one was earlier done using my phone, maybe I did the other on my laptop and somehow it accepted both, other than that I dont know.

Today, I've been mostly tipping water out of the birds' dishes, so they can get the seed I put out half an hour before it rained! I've yet to find anything suitable for the job (ground feeders), I just have to tilt the dishes in wet weather.

Planted all my potatoes and peas, safely under fleece. Pricked out a lot of tomatoes and some tomatillos. Harvested the last of the parsnips

I’ve just been clearing some ivy from the side of the pond, which escalated into chopping back an old conifer-type sprouting and a scrappy Euonymus. I’ve also ‘undercut’ a big Elaegnus which overhangs the pond, so now I can see the little waterfall step from my chair or from inside (so that needs de-leafing and sweeping!). The undercut job required some balancing, stretching and muscle power, so I guess I’ll be aching tomorrow! That’s the mark of a productive day in the garden though!

I do the same thing with supermarket basil and it's cheaper that buying it from a garden centre.

Just had an early morning check on outside seedlings, pleased to note a few 'newcomers' have appeared [welcome to my garden little peas and French beans - was beginning to give up on you]. A couple of seedling have gone missing overnight too; after a search I found the little culprit, and I'm afraid the blighter has now been despatch, no doubt his recycling has started :rolleyespink:.

Fingers crossed for gardening weather today, as there’s rain forecast for the foreseeable from tonight… More weeding out of the mat-forming willowherb, shame I don’t want to use it as ground cover as it could fight the ivy. Digging up more plants in the wrong place on the bank, I’ve done the top level section, but left tackling the slope till OH was home as it’s scary because it’s steeper than it looks and there’s a wall at the bottom B996C96F-5091-4928-909D-C6BC7BE0F8A6.jpeg

                          Ooooo, be careful @Golarne.
I need to sow some seeds- alyssum and mixed salad leaves. I may throw some poppy seeds about ( I refuse to use the word 'broadcast', I'm not on TV....) on my bank area and down a side border.

So far today I've pricked out my tomatoes, lifted and split a fern Dryopteris Cristata the King and replanted a piece (the rest is going to my daughter's garden this afternoon....hope we can dig a big enough hole!), and unpotted a biggish hardy fuchsia Genii from its stone pot that's a bit small for it now, to take and plant in my daughter's garden. Exhausted already!

I cut back a large Mahonia that was getting too big amongst other things.
Always amazes me how the cut wood is bright yellow.
