My big potted Hosta was under a Clematis and climbing rose, and lots of dust and dead leaves and rose petals had fallen on it, making the leaves look dirty, so I moved it somewhere else and washed them

I potted up some Begonia semperflorens from tubs so that I can overwinter them, but it came to rain before I could get them all out of the tubs, so I've only done a few.

Picked two cucumbers and some chillis. Lifted the onions and placed them in trays in the greenhouse to dry off; thought I better get this done before it rains again tomorrow. Also lifted the elephant garlic now it's finished flowering and noted that the elderberries are getting ripe.

Just come back from the allotment - Brian who has been there for 20 years is giving up his plot - so everyone wanted to wish him well.

On the way back I popped into my Mums for a cuppa. Take a look at her Hydrangea in the front garden - this is the best its ever looked. At the top of the picture you can see my lovely Mum peeping over the top of the plant.

Given the weather not a lot. So have to run the vacuum cleaner round, clean the bath etc. Do some cooking if I want to eat this weekend.
Later maybe a bit of time in the greenhouse doing odds and ends.

I cut back some perennials and swept the path, and then I had an idea to take my big potted Hosta from the back garden to the front garden - bad idea ! ... it was very heavy, but I got it there in the end, with may stops along the way :dbgrtmb:

I replaced a pump in one of the fountains, done my cardio when a bee or something flew into my face, drank some falling down water, procrastinated, watched football, drank more falling down water and ate some ripening tomatoes. All in all a productive day

Pick tomatoes, lift a few carrots and pick some elderberries.
Dig over a couple of bits to remove deep rooted weeds, sow green manure afterwards.
Start to clear overgrown corner, or maybe trim edge of lawn along front path.
