Been capturing crabapples from the ground. I have one of those roller things that snares the crabapples so I only have to bend and pluck the ones that have been smooshed into the grass.

And had to trim back branches hanging onto my greenhouse so off they came and I stripped the branches of the crabapples to make jelly and got all the woody parts cut up and bagged up ready for pick up tomorrow.

I should be back out there now finishing a clean up in one of the little greenhouses. Had the bigger one (6x8) emptied yesterday, cleaned and then applied thick clear plastic the rest of the sides and then put everything back in, including about 18 hot pepper plants.

And I fixed ( I think) the sprinkler system. Had one head acting up so dug down in our lovely hard clay and put in a new head.

And yes, I'd better get back out there to see if I did okay as the sprinkler is about to open up in that zone.

        Move it Lori!!

Removed and trimmed 2 of the Lavenders that were in the raised kitchen patio border. Replanted them in a hopefully better place.:fingers crossed:

Just placed a few potted plants in their vacated space for the time being on the patio until I shuffle around some more plants. The patio is not really a priority at the moment ,I will wait until I've dug up the plants that require overwintering before sorting it out properly. Still 2 more Lavenders there to re- home yet.

I certainly have Michael, at least the Lilac Tree cutting I took a couple of years ago will get to see a bit more light now.:)

3rd pic in my post at lunchtime, can be seen against the end of the caravan.

Sorted through my seed stash yesterday and my first task today will be to sow some.

I will move a couple of Heucheras into a more prominent spot ( had some spare and had to do an emergency planting at the time) may divide them too.

Then remove the last remaining Lavender from the kitchen patio and re-home somewhere more appropriate ( I hope! :fingers crossed:)

Not sure yet what I'll be doing this afternoon.

Planted the two "rare" Peach Oleander cuttings which I got from Spain and rooted in water. Now I keep :fingers crossed:. I am also trying to root a red one in water.

Chucked some free Larkspur seeds into a washing up bowl to germinate over the winter. Yes there is compost and drainage holes too. :)

Procrastinated, procrastinated and dead headed, procrastinated sweeping a bit here and there and then took a deep breath (and thornproof gloves) and tackled the Rosa Rugosa.

It has been in it's 60cm pot for nearly a decade and it is now the time for it to explore new pastures, aka the brown bin. It took me a good part of an hour to wrestle it out and chop the rootball into garden bin friendly chunks. :phew: I pulled off some youngish side branches and chucked them into a pot, they might take or they might not.

After my victory over the rose I was full of energy so tidied things up, potted up a shop bought basil (seed grown is now past flowering so off it went), cut off tomato leaves (my favourite job because of the scent), cleaned the pond pump, and when it was raining too heavily, even did some organising in the garage. A Super Selleri! :heehee:

Cut the grass, the mower seriously upset the wasps the badger disturbed last week.

I did a lot of cutting back today, of overgrown Clematises and perennials that had finished flowering.
I sawed some planks to make a shelf for the many rooted cuttings etc at the bottom of the garden.
I took some cuttings of Myrtus, Rosemary, Indigofera, Osteospermum, Plumbago, hardy Fichsias, and French Lavender, and ordinary Lavender and another shrub I can't remember the name of, and maybe a few other things I can't remember ... too many for my memory these days ! Put them in the propagators.
Did some watering and sweeping the paths.
