Snap @Upsydaisy. I pulled one of the clumps of sweet peas too because it also was surrounded by the creeping myrtle. Got the myrtle pulled and some of the bark mulch down but I'll wait until the annuals have all finished and pulled before using the rest. I filled an entire brown bag with the myrtle and peas so quite a substantial haul.

Like @MrDigwell I was so filthy when I finished, I had to jump in the shower and scrub down. But I wasn't stinky :nonofinger: :heehee:

Note: for reference, our brown bags for garden waste have a bottom that is 12" x 16" and are 36" tall

@MrDigwell you will be relieved to know that all the DIY stuff that was going to be dumped has found a new home with a friend who is a carpenter/builder/landscaper. :blue thumb: He emailed me this evening saying that 11 of the funny shaped (my words) hanging paraphernalia are now positioned in his shed and the great big bow saw has already been used on a job.

He also took away 13 large Stipa tenuissima (8 to a charity sensory garden and 5 to charity plant sale) together with three rather large Leycesteria formosa.

I exhausted myself mowing and edging four lawns - the digging out of the plants was done by our friend. He'll be back later in the year to dig up and split some Miscanthus sinensis 'Zebrinus' and take them to the charity sale (it's a charity garden centre for training people with learning difficulties). I take a lot of plants there in my car but those plants are too big it.

Do you need a hand with them? I'm happy to pop down to do it. :blue thumb: Fence panels can be difficult to handle on your own.

You shouldn't use the word rope and my name in the same post or @MrDigwell will comment on it. :roflol:

I'm pleased that I have been able to alleviate your shock somewhat and hope to be able to elevate the relief some more.

The lack of my DIY skills is legendary and I mitigate the shock that people feel at that sadly lacking ability by bringing enhancement to the working prospect of the artisans and craftsmen in the Shineyland environs.

I also do penance by doing work for charities in the area.

I mention all this in the hope that it may lift you out of your shock and depression and enable you to go drug free. :love30:

Nowadays I only speak to them when the babies are very occasionally playing on the lawn. Their very widespread multi story residence was demolished when my neighbour pulled up his patio and filled in the illegally built (no planning approval) underground warren. They have migrated to the woodland across the road. :dbgrtmb: It's a much better habitat with all the amenities they could want - apart from our veggies.:heehee:

I had some tidying to do to make sure nothing was laying about when the promised rain starts later.

Had a chat with a skunk, again. Cute little thing. Magnificent white and jet black fur. This is twice now he or she has been quite close to me before we noticed each other. Good thing I didn't jump and holler. I'd be joining @MrDigwell by the soap on the rope... :heehee:
