I've got pesky badgers who have recently ploughed up the grass at one end of the garden and this morning I found the result of last night peskiness.

Two foot deep and full of wasp nest and angry wasps am avoiding this area for a day or so.

Cutting back ,yanking out, trimming...found 3 more Pelargoniums. Trimmed them up and potted and rehomed them for winter, but not before taking a few more cuttings!!:heehee: IMG_20211004_113246.jpg IMG_20211004_122410.jpg IMG_20211004_122303.jpg

Pelargoniums stored away in both coldframes and the cuttings sneaked their way into the greenhouse.;)

Potted up 5 containers with hyacinths, tulips and wallflowers, composted the Snapdragons, geraniums and a few fuchsias that don't do well. I usually save the geraniums and fuchsias but they were getting old and I've got enough cuttings to go on with, also I've got the ones in the hanging baskets.

I deadheaded some of the Pelargoniums and potted up the Oleander "Rosee-du-Ventous" rooting which arrived today. Made some "greenhouses" out of water bottles for the young seedlings/rootings to ward off snails, plus our nights are getting cooler down to 14c.

Ben the Gardener has arrived so I went over my list of "to do" things for him which will take 3-4 hours but it is a lovely sunny day and about 23c now.

Haven't had much time today except for potting up some pots of bulbs. I also managed to empty and thin out the vastly multiplied Giant Lilly bulbs from one of the large pots....still have 3 more to do and then of course create some new pots with the new multiples!!!

Harvest potatoes planted late July as they now have blight in the tops. More greenhouse washing.

Going to deadhead the roses and sort out part of a border, going to dig up some sage and plant a rose and anything else that i can fit in but got to think of the space.
Might start on that in a while but it's cold today and my feet are already getting cold even with thermal socks.

Cleaner and tidier greenhouse now. On the down side the badgers beat me to the remaining yard or so of carrots.
Today: plant up new bed at front with shrubs, plant bulbs purchased the other week.

Made a start on the Fuchsias yesterday but got distracted ( as you do :heehee:) and began planting out a couple of large spaces that were recently vacated by the poorly Buxus.

Will try and keep on track today and think ...Fuchsias!! :dbgrtmb:
