Too wet to go out, so I pricked out lettuce, cabbage and sowed some spring onions. Had a tidy in the shed as I am tripping over things.

Ours grow quite high and out the top but also through the sides and dangle down. :blue thumb:

We haven't kept it dry but must have well over a ton of it on the bonfire. I'll try it anyway :noidea:and maybe put some garden compost with it. :)

At least we men have the equipment to aim it in the specific direction needed :roflol: I usually restrict it to just the compost heaps - we're not overlooked but I do keep my ears open for the sound of drones :heehee:

It's now sunny out there so I may wander around later and see whether it may be dry enough to do some work - still clearing leaves from the snowdrop areas. :phew:

I went out sweatshirt layered with gillette, parker type hoody coat garden gloves plus joggers and boots. Garden gloves not warm but done weeding anyway for about half and hour only... I am constantly amazed how all those weeds appear so fast again..little beasts.. cold hands muddy gloves mucky boots, took me almost as long to clean up as I was out, but still worth it.

As we've had a few dry days I've started digging a vegetable plot. Plan to put in a raised bed.
It's hard work! But getting there. :dbgrtmb:

Just came in for dinner, think I've done too much as my leg is incredibly painful now.

But nevertheless I am pleased that I've emptied the residents out of our large cold frame for a drink and an airing .Will get them snugly back in later this afternoon before our - temp kicks in for tonight.

Will go back soon to empty the strawberry plants and let them have a bout of fresh air too.:dbgrtmb:

Please to note lots of positive signs on most of the plants/ cuttings that came from my parents garden last summer. I was worried as the timing wasn't really the best....it was a case of ' now or never' .
