but know that the leaves can grow very large, I saw some in the village's concrete flower boxes by my new bank only on Monday....

 

so sorry to hear of your migraines. My sister is a regular sufferer, and I have seen 1st hand how she drives herself to do whatever she had planned for the day...She has to give in, in the end though. She has tried various treatments, some quite drastic, but she does take regular meds for them...It would be useful if she spoke with you. She is very good with people a brilliant artist and photographer..just as long as they are not close family members, upbringing caused this..
but sometimes sharing info is so invaluable.

 

Just came in from a freezing session in the greenhouse. Sieved more compost in prep for seed sowing/ potting up. Bagged it all up and it's now stored in the utility room to warm up .Cleaned out the bird feeders and refilled.
Hubs has just come back from having his jab...must go to get gory details!!!

 

Well I did get to go outside, was requested for my assistance and pleased about that, as Mr.W needed my hands to hold the wood and he is converting what was a strawberry bed on legs bed..well that is what is was...to becoming now,a greenhouse bench, at the narrow end...will take a photo when 'permitted' apparently.
I then walked around the garden to the end and looked at our New Plot of Land..Contracts soon will be all ready to sign... as they have all our personnel details..Birth, Marriage Certificates in French and Copy of our Passports in English...nobody has asked to see our new residency cards as yet the vaccine centre said we would be required to prove we live here but never asked Mr.W for anything but his Vitale Card which is our social card for health or various other social matters...Nice to be back indoors, which is not a normal thing I would say.

Its been a grand day today sun been out and melted the snow /ice off the greenhouse roof which in turn warm the inside up , so sowed my next batch of seeds Cleome - lots of lobelia - nemophila - nepeta govaniana and some I got a off a magazine last week.

It was a grand day yesterday as well so went for a good walk over the hill behind , only problem were I got lost trying to read them public pathway maps ended up in the middle of nowhere multiple times. At least I got some nice pics though don't know whether to put some on here are make a new thread

Nothing today again, the ground is still frozen and i think I've lost all the wallflowers, about 300 plants.

If i have I won't grow them again put a lot of money and effort in it that it's not worth it.

 

Sorry to hear that Logan. some may recouperate.

I have lost a couple of plants due to our prolonged and unusual cold spell.

If they go all of them will go and if a few survive I don't think that I'll keep them because they all line the path and it wouldn't look right.

 

Just done a bit of tidying up today. It is soooo bitterly cold out there...but dry which is nice.

I've fed the birdies and got a few chunks of frozen water and put them in buckets in my greenhouse so they will hopefully melt and I can water the plants in there soon.

 

As I said in my weather post( ) @Logan a few of my new ones look a bit sorry for themselves but that they'll pick up when the weather does too. Thankfully last years ones seem to be made of sterner stuff and are looking OK.

Hubs had just gone on his afternoon hike and before he left I asked if he would move a new sack of compost into the greenhouse for me to continue prepping....... ....he forgot!!!!
