@Logan we grow thousands of different things that rabbits would like, including clover which is all over almost a quarter of an acre of lawns :rolleyespink:, and most of the plants in the garden are especially bee friendly.

Most of the year we have a lovely sound of bees buzzing around and Mrs Shiney loves stroking them whilst they are busy working. They are not in the least bothered by her doing it.

@Logan One of the plants the bees love is Allium siculum but you need to be careful to keep control of the plant. I'm currently digging them out by the hundred - but I'm spreading them all along the grass verge of the field opposite. I'm guessing that I may be able to dig out a thousand or more whilst still having just as many remaining. It will never eliminate them as they're difficult to dig out. Although they're a simple onion bulb they seem to bury themselves deep and hide when I'm digging.

Another real favourite of the bees is Phlomis russeliana and we have six patches of them about 6ft diameter each. It's glorious watching them push their way in to the flower.

Planted first earlies in buckets and they are now in the GH. Sown Peas (Mangetout and Suagar Snap in modules. I have also sown Beetroot (Boltardy and Golden Burpees), Radish (Iclicle and French Breakfast), Sown Turnips (Purple Top Milan and Snowball) and potted up some Kohrabi.

I did that with a clump of Bamboo some years ago, Snorky, and they're still going strong. I think you might find it easier to put them into low profile, wide pots, rather than the conventional shaped, taller pots as they will, otherwise, be prone to falling over due to the winds.

Hubby did a few more roses and I've been sorting out a border that the sage is in. Cut back some of it that's dead and trimmed the tops so it will shoot out. Also weeding it and re doing the edge of the grass and make it a bit wider.

thanks our mandy! well what a day its turned out to be. i just finished watering in the bamboo and another migraine struck (i had a mild one at the same time yesterday) this one has been evil-I've had 5 doses of morphine and i can just about bare it now.

anyway-this is what I was doing before that happened...planted in an old pig trough that will be hooked into the wall. it will be to stop the stalker standing and looking at me from a new angle she has found. :help:

Oh @Snorky85 I feel your pain. I get regular migraines and just have to stop and sleep (if it allows) your bamboo looks fab. I may have to pinch your idea to hide a ugly wall. I hope you feel better soon.

I've been at the allotment over the past few days digging more beds. I swear I was a mole in a previous life. I find it very satisfying pulling out a big long couch grass root. Here's my digging progress so far on one side.

In my garden at home today I've fed the pots and sorted out a Rhododendron that the wind got. :mute:

Things in the greenhouse are looking good. Delphinium have germinated along with Alyssium and sweet peas.

Spent my lunch hour sowing seeds for flowers.

I sowed these cosmos on 14/3 and left them on a sunny west facing window. I cannot believe how quickly they’ve come up!

£1 pack of seeds from wilkos. Makes me wanna chucks the seeds direct when the soil warms up!
