Thanks @Michael Hewett ..I fine, just have a sore hand now to add to my aches and pains and my knee is a tad extra painful this morning...its fun this getting old game... xx

 

More weeding, pot up self seeded tree paeony plants, Choysia ternata suckers, Buddleja suckers plus anything else that has magically popped up. Not sure what I'll do with them though.

 

Thats what I do too Nigel...chop and pot.
I don't need them but can't throw them away either.

Been pricking out pot marigold seedlings earlier and going to do some more.

 

Oh no! That's such a shame considering how long they take to grow! I'm annoyed at myself for forgetting to label mine... one of them is Extra Early so I was hoping to pull it up at a good time and start planting out my lettuce. But I can't remember which side it was on. Either way, one is growing clearly a lot taller and thicker-stemmed than the other so I'm taking a gamble that those are the Extra Earlies.

Speaking of lettuce, just potted-on some more seedlings. They are now living outdoors thank god because I am fast running out of space for seedlings. Just need to get through the next month then things will ease up when I move some plants on to other people.

I'm going to sow my lettuce seedlings under cloches in the garlic bed, there's a bit of a gap in the middle so will have to make do and just harvest the garlic very carefully (lettuce may well be being harvested by the time the extra early garlic comes up anyway).

Same deal with the cabbages. Just potted up the next cell of Greyhounds into their own fibre pots and put them out in the greenhouse. Will try and intersperse them around the Elephant Garlic until I can pull that up (tbf it's looking grea so hopefully harvestable in June).
