This one is 1.5m, it doesn’t say how big it will get, I’ve been looking on the internet and the difference in size ranges from 3m to 15m, it’ll have to be a big pot then!!!

I think that they are and when they grow sometimes can tell from the colour of the stems, can with cosmos and foxglove.

I had a delivery of 6 x mixed Hollyhock plants, these were swashed in a plastic box, so I've re-potted them.

It’s up, but looks a bit lost being in a pot by the established trees, might still dig a hole and keep my fingers crossed for passing pear pollen.

                    Nearly finished relaying the slabs:

                    slabs2.jpg

Just need some postcrete - which will be brushed in between the slabs and to fill in the gap between slabs and lawn,

Those last 2 slabs took a 25kg bag of gravel each - cor that was 'ard work..

I've been marinading some seeds for a few days, as directed, so got out and planted:

                      1) 8 Snow Bananas. These are massive seeds, that have to be scarified and then soaked in warm water for 4 days. What on earth am I going to do if more than 1 of them germinates???
                      2) Angels Trumpet - but clearly didn't read the packet. 8 of these too. But it's Datura aboreal. Ie a tree I think. Again. Any more than 1 of those is going to be 'interesting'.

And then I noticed that one of the little lemons I grew from seed last year, is not looking too happy. I think it was fine last weekend.

Any thoughts? I've removed the offending leaf... too much water, maybe? Don't think I've over watered it but maybe...?

Carried on where I left off the other day with clearing leaves from the patio borders and sweeping up leaves and moss from the east and kitchen patios.

Those paved areas are lovely @Upsydaisy

It's been showery today but in between the showers I was able to cut the dead flowers off some new Primulas I bought recently - they had gone brown in the rain and were choking the new buds under them. I put them in a shelter and hope the new buds will give a bright show soon .

Mainly weeding and there is one rose that needs pruning. Dig parsnips up, break down soil in veg plot towards a tilth for sowing.
