Oh my @Perki :thud: that thought scares the life out of me.

Weeded and mulched half of the borders today. Will hopefully finish off tomorrow after doing a mind numbing food shop

In the last few days I have mowed two lawns and spent about six hours pressure washing the Sahara off the patio and Mrs Shiney has cleaned the window ledges and patio door ledges. We've also done lots of weeding and continue to fight, almost a losing battle, with trying to dig out the thousands of Alliums we let grow rampant and the thousands of seedling garlic that spread themselves everywhere whilst we weren't looking (for some years ). We filled another three wheelie bins with them.

I'll try and take some photos to cheer myself up with how much we've done :heehee:

All our lawns had a good cut yesterday as well, they're growing so fast now.!! We've done them quite a few times already and it makes such a difference , love to see nice tidy lawns.:blue thumb:

Continuing with border preparations...never ending job!! I also want to move 2 Lavenders, they're only young ones but I planted them in the wrong place last year and they eventually got hidden by bigger neighbours.
I also have some direct sowing to do as well

I'm really finding is frustrating not being able to fully bend at the knees ...or more importantly kneel at the moment , I like to work at plant height and am finding it very difficult not being able to do so. It's also playing havoc with my back having to bend.

I lay in bed thinking of what needs doing in the garden for the following day and last night I thought of something and came up with a good solution too.....now I can't remember what it was..or the solution either!!:roflol:

Popped to the GC this morning, only for a bag compost but decided I had enough room to buy to random plants. I went for a Fatsia Jap ‘Spiderweb’ sense and a Daphne ‘Perfume Princess’ no idea about either of them so I’m going to read up on them now!

Snap @Logan!!:) I edged all of our lawns after hubs cut them yesterday and as he's attending a hospital app this morning I thought I would be helpful!!;)

After shifting all the established plants out of the greenhouse to catch a few rays I then moved all the babies into their vacant place for the day.

Learnt a lesson today and will not attempt to sow Coleus early again ( early Autumn) the light levels that I could offer them did not suit them at all, some drained their colours and on the whole they just were very unhappy, then to top that the poor babies had an invasion of White Fly!!:yikes:

So this morning I took them all outside and cut them right back, they were each given a bath and a spray of White Fly killer for good luck. They now resemble little matchsticks , gave them a new clean pot each filled with fresh compost and rehomed them to the greenhouse. They will be snuggly well fleeced should it become necessary, but they will live in the bubble wrap enclosure in our greenhouse too. So....:fingers crossed:

Just preparing our dinner now then I'll continue with weeding, and some direct sowing and the Lavender removals. That's the plan anyway:fingers crossed:.

Tradescantia zebrina cuttings just potted up & put on top of fridge 21st March 2022.jpg Tradescantia fluminensis in living room 26th February 2022.jpg Tradescantia zebrina in living room 26th February 2022.jpg Yesterday I also potted up a few Tradescantia zebrina cuttings & then put them on top of the fridge in the kitchen. We've had plants (of Tz) there for the best part of 20 years now!

I also put one pot of cuttings in our living room some 6 months ago. It is not as happy as the ones in the kitchen though. Alongside & above it is a T.fluminensis. This plant is not as well known as the others that have variegated leaves as the leaves are dark green but very glossy on top. The backs of the leaves are purple. The stems are much thinner that T.zebrina & the plant is probably more vigorous. It is also a much denser plant & looks "fuller". It will grow down about 18" whereas T.z will grow quite a lot longer.

Another beautiful day. I was busy sowing seeds into rectangular planters for germination outside (Comfrey, Poppy "Album", Calendula "Art Shades" and Night Scented Stock). We also planted a couple of Euphorbia characias "Silver Swan". I put up a couple more brackets for hanging baskets and made a basket up full of Nasturtium "Dayglow Mix" seeds. We also cleared an area of chips in one corner, cut the matting underneath, made a seedbed and sowed some Nasturtium "Tropical Mix". Placed a couple of large wooden stakes (old rustic fence posts) among them in the hope they will climb up them.

Removed and replanted the 2 Lavender bushes, dug up and ditched 2 big underperforming clumps of Carnations, they were old and well past their best.

Hubs finally dug up a tree stump that was left to rot down.

Direct sowed 2 pkts of seed ( :fingers crossed: the birds don't gobble them up).

Been out here since 9:30am (apart from quickly making a Lasagne) , now sitting chilling and watching all the busy birds.:)

Just had a wander looking and making a couple of decisions for April. Have put some Brugmansia seeds in to soak to plant tomorrow.

Finished off doing the edge of the lawn before it gets too dry. Chucked all the pieces into our bushes and they won't be seen there, watered the tubs and pots in the front on the driveway.

Helped hubs remove and replant 3 Roses. Repotted a couple of the Early Peas that had outgrown their pots.

Did the musical chair routine between the plants in the greenhouse and those waiting in the wings to grab a place. :hapflower:

I painted the front of the shed and as I have two water butts in front I had to paint left handed, quite alien that was:yikes:

Topped up the Potato bags and watered plus potted on a couple of Cucumber plants.
