I love them. I think I had a plant as we had a cat called Puschka.:cat-kittyandsmiley: They are a bulb Upsy so maybe they take a while to germinate.

You say seeds. I planted bulbs. I did find this about seeds: will only germinate in the spring after chilling or freezing in the moist seed pot in the winter

Had some seeds arrive today , I were browsing Chiltern seeds at weekend so I've ordered some more seeds even though I said that's it for now :rolleyespink: . I haven't sowed any seeds yet need to pull my finger out.

This afternoon I've been tiding up in the Greenhouse sweeping the staging / shelving down and dodged the two tarantulas . Its still a tip I am brushing the floor now but pulling all the pots / trays out from under the staging and reorganising them and throwing some out, I'll finish it tomorrow hopefully . Just the glass to wash after but I am in no rush seed sowing first.

My wife and I have been saying that for a couple of weeks now but still we keep ordering stuff.
She ordered 12 Allium bulbs but 100 arrived in error. We have more plants and bulbs than space!

Yes you're both correct....I planted so many pots up that I had forgotten that they were bulbs....probably looking in the wrong pot too:heehee:.

I continued edging lawns and weeding in the edge gullies. Filled two wheelie bins before giving up. :phew:

Lovely day out there today ,sunshine (albeit it without much wellie) and a clear cloudless blue sky.

Working my way around the borders hoeing in the leaves that either couldn't be removed earlier or have blown across since.

Checked over the Citrus bushes for Scale or other unwanted critters , found a couple of Scale that met their makers pretty swiftly.

Long may this weather last, I can put up with -C nights so long as the following days are sunny and bright.  :dbgrtmb:

I look on in envy Upsy that you have healthy enough Citrus to get the scale attention!!

My sole lemon has two leaves clinging on despairingly but at least one new branch looking in ok shape. No flower forthcoming for a long while though, so have ordered a new one to keep it company. The blossom aroma is very uplifting when it comes out, which I could go with that alone, if no fruit making it.

Been a decent enough day here, a balmy 12 degrees, and an early weeding trip round the garden to get things started for the year, though spent a lot of time lifting rocks to let the robin have a rummage under.

A busy day planting 100 Allium bulbs, sowing Laurentia 'Avant-Garde Dark Blue' F1 Hybrid seeds, planting a Lonicera fragrantissima and barrowing spoil from one end of the garden, mixing in manure and compost then using the mix to build up a bed behind a low wall.

As per my thread in the lawn section, im building a retainer wall out of 6x2 timbers to raise the garden to a more satisfactory level, to take out some of the slope. Also refacing the planters i built last year with some 6x2s also to make them look more chunky, in what is a largish garden.

As the temps had risen a tad by the afternoon ( and we were still enjoying full sunshine) I removed all the plants from the 3 coldframes and gave them a good airing. Most were given a tiny drink but as we're dipping down to -3 tonight I didn't what to chill their roots.

                              Tidied up the bloomers. IMG_20220113_150138.jpg
