Here too but inside during the winter. They're very easy to grow.

Mine also but they are late this year and only just started flowering now.

 

I only add about 2 inches of Grass Cuttings to the top of the Potato Bags.

 

I've been taking plants into the GH today fed up of having them in the house now, moved plants around in the greenhouse and repotted a alstromeria and 19 pelargoniums , watered the plants while I were in there . Done some weeding in the front garden.

Think I'll feed the pots and mow the lawn this afternoon. The frost ( if we had one ) didn't get my wisteria I fleeced it and left the GH door all night instead typical no damage though.

 

Mulching. Going to spread some of the mulch in the garden along the back and side fences.

I decided that I don't need such a large cold frame (4'x8') over one part of the garden because last year I only used it for a storage spot over the winter. I've got a great plan for the extra wood I'll have once I finish dismantling and rebuilding. I'm going to build a collapsing table. Just the right size for my sun oven and with a turntable top. I'll attach it to the back fence where the sun shines for the longest period of the day. The old stand is a bit too rickety for my liking so this will be a great solution.

And I will do my happy dance. The guessers have predicted there will not be one more night below freezing. Definitely worth jumping for joy!

My, you are such a clever lady DIYer. I admire all you do. I love the idea of your turntable sun oven. With the sun we get here we should have such. We have a friend who has one.

 

I was pottering nicely down by the little road that goes past the bottom of my garden when a brightly coloured pheasant came strutting along ... not good if you've got a bird phobia
I clapped my hands for it to fly away bit it didn't, so I went in the shed but the pheasant wouldn't go away, so I've come in the house for a cup of tea and hope it's flown away by the time I go back down there.
I don't like birds, never have, they give me the eeby jeebies

I really can't be near birds...they flap...and peck. Thankfully very few left thanks to cat. Tho I had near hysterics the day she proudly strutted across living room with a magpie in her mouth.....no idea how she got it through the cat flap. It was still alive OMG...she jumped, dropped it and I v v quickly opened kitchen door and it sped out...hotly chased by v indignant cat. A year later there is pair of magpies who sit about 6 feet away from her cacking at her - but fly off if she moves..... I live at seaside and seagulls are dreadful at grabbing any food from hands or plates on seafront.

 

This morning I treated the meadow and the front lawn with a dressing of Ferrous Sulphate. I also made a mixture of grass seed and seed compost which I used on a couple of patches on the lawn. I filled my Morning Glory box with compost and planted out the plants I had brought on from seeds. In a week or so I will sow some Morning Glory seeds beside them. I shuffled around plants in the cold frames, now I have more space, and moved some Sweet Pea seedlings out from the potting shed.
My other half spent time tying up a climbing rose then transplanted some Crocus and Cyclamen from a tub out into a bed in the garden. She also planted half a dozen Hawthorn rooted cuttings in the hedge and one in a corner of my "personal" garden.
It has now started to rain and there is a forecast for a few hours of heavy rain this evening.
Never thought I would look on a forecast of rain with pleasure!

 

I do that quite frequently.
