I got off my backside and cleared a very small raised bed and sowed a few Spring Onions.

Planted out a couple of cordylines and a mahonia 'soft caress'; my new rose arrived so that's planted too, rose 'tge generous gardener '.
Then got to work adding a divider to the log store and moving the old logs to one half. Out came the chainsaw (a surprisingly good 18v 12" one) and I began cutting up the oak tree branches snaffled from a locally felled tree this week. After that I got to the more fun but of splitting and stacking :) Been a good couple of hours.

Thanks, @Victoria. I no longer have my photos from my old computer as when I tried to copy them across I ended up with 100s of folders - all empty!

Jet washed three paved areas. Considering sowing some leeks, parsnip, carrots, celeriac and planting shallot sets but will need to get some more compost for the seeds

Taken out and watered all the over wintering plants in the lean to cold frames, they are now out enjoying the sunshine.

Potted up, to kick start the growth of, 3 new Dahlias.

Opened up and watered the seedlings in the greenhouse.

Dragged out some of the overwintering stuff in the garage to get a gentle watering, most have not been watered since November.
Still lots more to come out but I'm sure this winter will send us one more killer frost before its done.

Not much, nothing at all really due to rain. Went out to lunch instead and have come back to a doormat covered in deliveries! Mostly DIY stuff but also some canna seed so might get that sown today in between rugby games

It has been a lovely day, very warm with frequent rain showers. Just the weather I like, so I was inspired to do all the potting ons (Toms and Cosmos) in the garden.

(Partially also because The Baby mopped the floors yesterday so I'm under strict monitoring regarding spreading compost all over the place. :noidea: "Not on MY clean floor" truly inspires one into outdoors activities. )

Sweet peas got transferred into the blowaway greenhouse. I had planned to be a good plant mother and take them in for the night but then decided not to bother. They are hardy, and in the end nothing is irreplaceable if the worst happens. Some Artichoke seedlings went there too, and a tray of Dianthus.

I have a makeshift raised bed in the blowaway, and am in the habit of emptying used compost from pots into it to add bulk. The mild weather is now giving me lovely surprises, a hyacinth had somehow appeared in the raised bed. The last time I grew pink ones was about three years ago so it must have been lurking there doing nothing all that time. A feeble little thing, but worth potting up :)
                          hyacinth.jpg

Bellis "free seeds with every issue" sown last October are opening first buds. Very nice, especially considering it's free and even more importantly, hassle free. I have done absolutely nothing to the pot since it was sown. :)

                          bellis.jpg

Sowed next round of Cosmos and some peas for trendy pea shoot crops on kitchen windowsill. The peas are famous variety :

Now I'm soaking wet, muddy, tired and happy :)

Pricked out the rest of the polyanthus seedlings and sowed cosmos and marigold seeds, 2 packs of each and divided a tray of eurigeron and put into a bigger seed tray, my friend Marion can have those.

Haven't been up to anything today but I got my Dahlias all potted up on Thursday , quite a lot of damage to some due to the hard frost that come out of nowhere . And I've been cleaning out the drains yesterday , torrential rained / hailstone thunder and lighting blocked all the drains in the garden , swimming around behind the shed trying to unblock the pipe . house gutter blocked up sycamore seedling, Sycamore trees went into overdrive last year with the long mild year. The grates on the garage next to my property also got blocked up , I did eventually get everything sorted . I were getting the scarifyier out before it started to rain
