Some pic's taken just now - the roses are starting to flower - every single once has survived. I'll put up some more pic's when they are all out.

      Hi,

This is kind of you @wiseowl thank you. 3d reminds me of days when I was a child and we could buy sweets for a Farthing; 3d used to buy us a big bag of chips with bits; salt & vinegar on; under 2p by today's money but it was real money in those long ago days; with only my late coal mining father working to provide for six of us it was mostly chips because we couldn't afford fish as well but strangely in those poverty stricken times people were much happier and friendly than they are now.

      Kind regards, Colin.

Cut the long grass in the back garden, it was about 1ft high.

Strim until battery flat then recharge battery. Check greenhouse, weed area under trees and then more planting in there. Water beans and peas, also raspberries which are just opening flowers..

It'll be watering on steroids the next few days, as it continues to be sunny but now with temperatures in the mid-high 20s. That'll absolutely guarantee the forecast thunderstorm will happen on Saturday...

I only did some watering this morning on the balcony. I gave the 9 hanging baskets a good soaking to tide them over till Saturday I didn't expect to be home on Friday as I was going to meet up with our daughter to start to put her new acquired allotment into shape - well, at least make a start on it! But that has been put off now for a few days as the old plot holders want to do something on their old plot before handing it over to her. The plot is only a half allotment but the old plot holders have got their hands on a whole allotment!

She sent me a photo of her plot & it looks very overgrown & so will need a lot of work clearing it of the weeds that must be nearly waist high! It doesn't look like any work has been done on it this year - at least!

If it that overgrown I cant think what the old plot holder is doing on it to stop you making a start.
