Wet day just planted out a few more plants I want out of the greenhouse trying to empty it now . Got a Geum peach pretti coats planted and a couple of Salvia Amistad . Had a few marigolds left so planted them underneath the tomato plants and tidy the toms out while I was there .

              Looking gorgeous Upsy, very inviting.

The two pink Brugmansias have really suffered these last few days with the heat day and night, and haven't opened fully ...

Thanks Vicky, thats a real shame it was the same here too for many of our plants but now they're much happier. Just hoping the rain doesn't batter them down now. It can be a harsh world for little plants.:hapflowers2:

I know we dont get the heat that you do but your Brugs can flower in in spring and autumn.
The reason I've stopped growing a brug is because its too cold in spring and too windy in autumn, and now its too warm in summer.
They dont like heat do they.

Not extreme heat. This is their second bloom this year. They have been watered daily in the morning and at 9pm for 15 minutes withe the irrigation. 'Charles Grimaldi' isn't suffering so much as he is in the ground.

Harvested my outdoor softneck garlic today, if it had been dry this last week and forecast dry I might have left them another week but overall pleased with them. This is germidour, I have a similar number of thermidrome. Still got some hardnecks to harvest, another couple of weeks at least for them

In my humble opinion, the water storage and distribution system in the UK isn't fit for purpose. Ditto the energy sector.

Well, the law of nature that states that when I water, rain will occur soon and in profusion, Despite the forecasts. One could argue that's reassuring, but also makes me wonder while I'm watering, "Why waste my energy and time?!!!!" First world problem, eh?!
