I went up today and dug out a gooseberry bush to give to someone else. Was handed a whole bag of unplanted onion sets too. Shame my soil was still too clumpy to plant them straight away.

Today also I found this mutant raspberry I must have missed on my plot

Here's a question for you all...

Our contract forbids us from building 'sheds or structures' but we 'may be able to build a polytunnel with the council's permission'. I really want somewhere sheltered to sit, any idea if there's any way of doing something without cheesing the council off?

I see Joolz has stopped growing tobacco. I still have a lot of seed for Golden Virginia left over and rather than throwing it away would be happy to send it on to anyone. I have withdrawn from growing veg now as I have got beyond it physically. Shame but that is the way of things.

it is great to be able to recognize our own limits and adjust things accordingly.
As for me I don't really need a garden to look after, as it looks like the hobbies of crafts and online activities will take over most of my time (when I will have time...). But even without a garden I will have a lot of plants for sure.
