I'm late getting my seeds sorted out for the coming season but this is the list so far, all perennials.

    Gentiana Acaulis
    Adonis Vernalis
    Eryngium Alpinum Superbum
    Knautia Macedonica 'Red Knight'
    Eremurus x Isabellinus (Foxtail Lilies)
    Anthriscus Sylvestris 'Ravenswing'

Has anyone any comments on these please eg. thugs, temperamental etc.

Joolz , I got the Wilkos cactus dahlia tubers at £1 each last year. They were very succesful growing to over 4 feet , flowering quite late but big flowers through to November. The Cactus Spectacle Orange was stunning :dbgrtmb: In fact this year I am binning my delphiniums and planting these tall Dahlias . As I know virtually nowt about Dahlias , I'll be watching for posts on here.

Thanks Minki, :) Now I've got to work out where they'll be planted and what else I need to order. I don't work to a plan I just go with what I feel and what looks right.

I can't help, except that my E.agavefolium is still growing well in this mild (so far) winter.

Well unfortunately I think my budget is going to be much smaller this year than it was last year so I'm going to try and grow as many plants as possible from cuttings or seeds from existing stock, like foxgloves and Welsh poppies ect

Eryngiums are a great choice - the folks have some at their place and they looked fantastic through the summer and looked pretty eye catching with the frost over them this weekend; plus good for attracting bees and butterflies - so a winner all round!

I thought I'd add these annuals to the list, ordered today.......

                      Arctotis...... 'Harlequin'
                      Aster...... 'Bridesmaids'
Calendula...... 'Apricot Pygmy'...........Surprisingly I've not grown Calendula before.
                      Sweet Pea......'Sweetie Mix' (dwarf)......for baskets.

I have a few other seeds on order which I've grown in previous years but I won't be buying any more as I have seeds left from last year. :)

New seeds for me this year are Basket Pansy, Basket Sweet Pea, Perennial Pink Sweet Pea (from seed of neighbour's plant) plus "High Scent" Sweet Pea, Non-stop and Illumination Begonias (grew the Illuminations last year - purchased plug(lets!) - did very well - although smaller than I had hoped when they arrived 1 month later than promised because of weather - hence trying myself this year - sowed Beg.s mid-December)

I have never had any success with sweet peas, yet always wanted to have a dose of them
