I'm an auto/biography person. But that's cos I'm extremely nosey!! Mind you, always have at least half a dozen library books on the go. Used to love Stephen King and James Herbert but the older I get, the wimpier I get!! Tend to go for easy reading these days. Chick Flicks I think they're called! Or Heat magazine. I know, I know!! So shoot me!!

I used to be very keen on science fiction, but now a bit jaded. Last year I read Stephen Kings' Cell, and Prey by Michael Crichton. Both easy reading, but lots of thought provoking ideas too in the best SF traditions, particularly Prey which discusses the mechanics and results of swarm behaviour.

I am still one with Christopher Lloyd and had enough of it! I bought "successional planting" and "colour" when I was very ill, but could only look at pictures.

then I read "well tempered gardiner" went on to read gardinerts year and now READING not looking at pictures of "Successional planting" and struggeling to get through it - just overdosed on christopher Lloyd, but do admire him.

Currently reading "Pompeii" by Robert Harris, but generally I am not very good at reading anymore these days - when I was younger I read a lot more, nowadays hardly anything grips me enough to finish it! :(

So easy if you have a good book you cant put it down until its finished.

I've just finished reading Jodie Picoult's The Vanishing Act. I really like her books, particularly the ones involving a court case. I'm also a HUGE Patrica Cornwell fan, and just love her Scarpetta novels to bits. All that forensic stuff facinates me, and if I could go back to school and work much harder, I would love to get into all that kind of stuff.

Hi Fran, glad to know I'm not the only Pern addict. I read the whole series every year including the ones written by Todd McCaffrey. Have you tried the Crystal Singer triliogy? They're my next favourites by her. By contrast I have just finished Pride and Prejudice (again).

Yup, not sure which my second favourites are besides the other Dragon books, loved the Rowan series, and The Ship that Sang, then of course there's To ride Pegasus.
Nice to know there's another Anne Mcaffrey fan out there [IMG] .
