Like you Cyclingvet, the place we have just moved into has bulbs coming up everywhere and wherever I dig a hole I dig up more bulbs. Some I have left in other I haven't but I have planted some of my Narcissus I brought with me.

We dug up and split and replanted, dug up and split and replanted. After 20 years, lots of babies in the big circles. Hate splitting. Digging up and finding new places.

This site is very inspiring. Need to take pics of the before this time of year to compare with next. Planted old garden from scratch with stuff people had given me & things I bought on impulse. Planted everything too close together so 17 years later when I moved it needed really to be dug up & started again. Going to think & think & plan this one. There is a small area near the house which I have cleared of ground elder (just about) & planted some perennial cottagey plants, wallflowers & primulas to make me smile for now. Need a veg patch. Prob going to have to be in the paddock away from the dogs (3 labs & a dachshund). So exciting

August, NONE. You might check on fall blooming crocus, have a feeling your late for them also. I do not know of any bulbs that bloom in the winter time.
