Now you know!!!:heehee: Most gardeners will leave planting Tulips until at least the middle of November just to make sure there's less chance of the bulbs getting Tulip Fire Blight.:snork:

I laid a load of turf last week, so took the opportunity to naturalise some crocus and fritillary before I put the turf down. Did similar a couple of years ago and the crocus look great.

I still have a bag of Chionodoxa to naturalise.

Today (in the downpours!) I planted most of the alliums I got on offer through T&M, but in pots, so I can decide where they will go in the new border I'm planning, next Spring when they emerge.

I've planted the usual hyacinths and Spring flowering crocuses.

Also trying out anemones - du caen and st birgid varieties - that should come out March/April.

I've also managed to source some Autumn flowering crocuses and early flowering irises to provide a bit of interest in the later part of this year and early part of next.

Hopefully the squirrels will lay off and I should get a nice display.

Hermodactylus have arrived and are planted out now.

Added a couple more Frits too; F.davisii and persica. Went mad and planted the F.imperialis and persica in the ground despite the price.

Noticed quite a few spring bulbs (Bluebells and Muscari) that were already here and escaped the chop are already emerging. Also, the Ipheon that I put in are emerging.

            A. de caen are fantastic, especially Mr. Fokker! If I weren't looking for shade tolerant bulbs I would have had a load.

            Hi All,

I have put Pheasant eye daffs and Crocus in the lawn at the end of the garden which is a bit of a nature area with my wild flower patch, log pile etc. I have put an assortment of daffs in the new border and dotted a few clumps around the rest of the garden. Yesterday I purchased Tulip Queen of the night and Tulip Whute dream for the border area with my Heuceras. I also bought about 60 loose Tulips yellow, Red, Cream and Pink. I have some snowdrops to put in and today my Snake Head Fritillary and Allium Siculum have arrived. I'm off work next week so will get them in then if not before.

            Rusty
