What can we do in October

    So far this month, I have swept some leaves up and put them in my compost bin.

    Another couple of weeks or so and its go go go on the willow tunnel construction work.

    I wouldn't write off autumn sown broad beans completely Andrew.

    I'll be sowing my Aquadulce Claudia as usual in early November, they are very hardy, although Kristen has a point when it comes to winter losses.

    A very cold winter will result in a few losses, however I haven't experienced too many failures in wet winters as I'm on light, free draining soil.

    I think it depends on how sheltered your plot is and your soil type.

    I thought the same Andrew and planted some aquadulce broadbean a couple of weeks ago also going to try some pea douce provence once it dries up enough
    Just got to keep ontop of the slug pellets or I will never seem them
