I'm just finishing cooking harrisa marinated roast chicken thighs with Jacket potato and runner beans. I'll have it with home grown hot chillies and home pickled cucumber. I'll have my dessert when I get home sometime before midnight. That'll be home made Eve's pudding.

I dislike carrots normally, never had them other than in stew/casserole, until I married my 2nd husband, and he liked carrots with his roasts.
Then I saw this recipe, :wow: I cook a batch up and open freeze on a tray and add a few to my peas with my roasts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/christmas_carrots_90489

I usually do about a kilo at a time, good squirt of liquid flora, it`s the star anise taste I like, not bothered about the sauce.

Bought a few plaice on the bone a couple of weeks ago, they are starting to get fat now, up until about late October at which time they are full of roe, with no meat on the bones.

OK, so I just like fish and chips.

(Tesco's Finest) Vintage cheddar burger with home made chips. Was ok but I'm one of those weird people who are really not into food, I just eat because I have to. I'm actually quite a good and inventive cook, just have lost interest in it by the time it gets to the table :heehee: Though I do appreciate the occasional takeaway when I'm in the UK, no such thing available near here
