Aha! So *you* are to blame for the latest craze: Brinner! (aka breakfast for dinner). :heehee:
I like beans on toast (toast spread with marmite) and then a grating of parmesan cheese on top: scrummy!

Tonight we are having *either*: liver, bacon and onions with mashed potatoes and seasonal veg, *or*: a pizza from the freezer with side salad :noidea:

Baked salmon fillet with zest of lime and fresh chilli served on a bed of cous-cous and a leafy green salad. Followed by fresh raspberries with just a splash if gin - a wonderful combination.

Lots of members seem to like recording their meals - I wonder if any have kept a food diary?

We have always enjoyed preparing and cooking meals together and have also enjoyed trying new, unusual or forgotten dishes.

Shortly after we married Mrs A-A started noting down our evening meals each day. The Diary has been going now for forty years and includes almost all the evening meals we have had together including holidays, meals out and meals with friends. Also included are notes on food I had when travelling (as part of my job) - Over the years we have made our own versions of food enjoyed abroad or perhaps made up a meal of ingredients which fell to hand.

Looking back we can see how our tastes and the trends in cooking have progressed.

Some of our favourites have of course been recorded in this thread.

This evening, one of our "what can we do with the odds and s++s left over meals ?" Half a can of tuna (in olive oil - Oh!, the extravagence!) a bit of red pepper chopped, a few capers, some finely chopped Swiss chard and a little fresh chilli, parsley & basil all warmed in the frying pan and served over pasta with a green salad. To follow, apple sponge cake, made by my work colleague's 4 year old little boy ( with a little help from his Nan) with apples from our tree. - No Calvados to hand, so a small Cognac!
