I suppose I could have been a little bit more "imaginative" and created a vegetable "shepherds pie" or somesuch ... I was just too, too lazy to bother

Well thank you SharonL. yes it is on the 27th of November. We will be heading down to Fredricksburg, Virginia for the holidays and stay a few days after. Staying at the house of a good friend, Sylvia. She will have others there, about 10 in total, some her family, and some her friends. Has a huge house to stay in, 6 bedrooms. Sits on 5 beautiful acres. Her kitchen is unbelievable. So far, just bringing a crab meat dip. But pondering other things. Of course several bottles of wine.

Had a big pub lunch (at wrinklie's prices :old: :heehee:) so just having toasted cheese sandwiches done in my trusty 63 year old cast iron Tempo Taste-T-Toast. :) It should last a long time yet as there are no parts to go wrong. :blue thumb:

The modern toasted sandwich makers can't get anywhere near as good a result. :nonofinger:
