        last night was Thai chicken . Finely chopped onion, garlic, root ginger and a red chilli sautéed in ghee in a le Crueset pot. Add 4 boned out chicken thighs and brown a bit. Add a stock chicken jelly pot and a large mug of coconut milk, a pinch of sugar and leave to simmer for 30 minutes. Then add a handful of petis pois peas and serve with rice,

            Fish pie (salmon, proper smoked haddock, queenies and prawns) served with green beans. Homemade Tart tatin and clotted cream for afters. Looking at elasticated pants in the supplements with a more appreciative eye!

              This evening - Saute chicken livers with puy lentils and sweet peppers over some cous-cous, with a green salad and a glass of very robust red wine. - To follow Stollen cake and stewed apples and quince -and a small brandy with the coffee ! (Well it is Saturday night !!)
