One of our local pubs is now doing fried fish that can be eaten by people who need to be gluten free. :blue thumb: They make the batter with chick pea flour. Excellent idea :)

We started with a hot mulled cider.
Then we had a home-made puff pastry pancetta and pork sausage meat with celery. Home-made potato croquette and honey and mustard coated parsnips.

Dessert is Salted caramel ice cream with hot Christmas pudding cooked with Cognac.:hate-shocked:

I'm taking a break during the midst of cooking. Not too complicated to cook but a lot of prep as half the people are veggies.

              Home made veggie soup
Spinach Gnocchi with broccoli spears, asparagus, French beans and courgettes in spicy and herby sauce
              Roast butternut squash with cummin
              Roast long sweet peppers
Puy lentils done with garlic and bay leaves
              Brussel sprouts
              Cauli
              Crispy roast potatoes
Roast chicken with garlic and herbs
              Yorkshire puds
              Gravy - of course
              Apple crumble
              Fruit compote
Fresh fruit salad - grapes, melon, nectarines and mango
              Coconut cream

              Sorry, we're fully booked. :heehee:

Saturday, a bunch of left overs that need to be eaten. Will make a big fresh salad to go with. Have bought a good gathering of cheeses also.
