            Went to gales wine bar in llangollen and had

            Minera mountain cured seabass with apple salad and horseradish creme fraiche

            Moroccan spiced lamb rump with sweet potato hash, baba ganoush and mint yoghurt

            Then i pigged out and had a pudding of carrot cake with mascarpone mousse, blood orange sorbet and candied peanuts

                @"M" - homemade lasagne is a lot of effort but so worth it! What layers do you do?

                Just the basic layers: protein layer (usually minced beef based) then the pasta, then another protein layer, then pasta and then béchamel sauce and grated parmesan.
                I've only just managed to tempt Mr "M" with a lasagne at all (fussy blighter!) but, if I were making it just for me I would include a spinach layer. Sometimes, instead of a béchamel sauce I make a yogurt topping but I'm holding fire on introducing that to Mr "M" for the time being :heehee:

                Much the same. 2x bolognese layers, spinach layer, mushroom layer and depending on the mood either bechemel or cheese sauce to top. If it's bechemel then I top that with Gruyere instead of Parmesan.
