Home-made shepherds pie with lots vegetables - carrots, green beans, sprouts, cabbage. Yummmm!
O/H and son love shepherds pie but they don't like mince with mashed potato!!!

    What is the difference?

Yesterday we had roast potatoes, chicken, mash, peas, carrots and lovely Yorkshire pudding although today it will be one hot chicken curry and rice served with naan bread although for the boys it will have to be toad-in-the-hole as they are not too keen on funny food so to speak, their loss mine and Bob's gain! :D Hel.xxx.

Off to mums again today with Darren and i'm cooking for her. I was somewhat banned from teh kitchen in my youth, deffinately my mums realm, so i had to self teach myself after moving out, and since then she doesn't quite believe me that i can cook! So i'm packing all my stuff, going over there and making a low fat meal that i made up with the help of UKTV cooking programmes XD

Veggie Hoi sin filo wraps with baked sweet potato paprika wedges and spicy mango dip.

Okay, so a bit of Western, a bit of Cantonese and a bit of Indian, but it works!

    Hello all

Yuummmmm! apart from your cucumber nibbles Pal [IMG]

Can anyone on here tell me what makes up the protein side of the meal? I know there are loads of programmes on tv, books etc. but what do 'you lot eat'?

One of the worst things i ever had when i first came to live up north (I thought - & i'm not posh at all, i'm a half Geordie) so please don't take offence, goodness probably offended the whole country now [IMG] , was a lasagne with chips. not had lasagne so much but wouldn't have had it with anything else - maybe a beer ;) I didn't eat salad then either - b''''y southerners [IMG]
I love veg, not meat so much but can't see how to have protein. All i ever see it advertised in is fish or the like.

So come on, put me to a different thread if you like but i need more protein less carbo., ie potatoes.

    Cheers

I'll try this again for the third time as the computer keeps locking up and I shall faint from lack of eating soon. :D

Here is what we are having ... home made steak pies, and I'm not a meat person but they are usually very good [IMG]
