Have only just weaned Darren off these grim things :P

I luckily avoided any of the 'interesting' meals alike the ones you've all mentioned.

But i had a very odd sweet and sour thing going on when i was younger, would insist on cranberry sauce with all sorts of meals and eat marmite on sweet scotch pancakes and stuff. Nom.

Up north we have something that has the same effect-the bl88dy cold!!

And Whiley-those pancakes sound kinda nice. Like banana and peanut butter toasties-but have to use the granary bread. YUM

Jerdle pud, left over cake mixed with egg and baked in the oven. It would probably make me sick now!

Nothing. But there are better applications than cotechino, lol. I love salame. And the best salame in the world is made in from Felino, 10 km from my home town. :)
I come from Parma, you know, the Ham and Cheese place. We know how to use pork. Cotechino is just a mistake.

The nation that gave the world Al Pacino and Boccaccio made a mistake?

You`ll be telling us the earth is flat next.

Hello Ivory: I am one of those who enjoy "cotechino", I am afraid !!!
Occasionally, as a winter food, boiled together with potatoes.
Nevertheless, I can only present you with my outmost respects: since you come from that region
(Emilia-Romagna) that produces the wonderful "Parma Ham" and "Grana Padano" cheese, "Parmigiano Reggiano" and I could go on with the list of delicatessen...
I hope you manage to find all your favourite foods in Germany...

Boiled pigs tails. Mum you'st to burn the hair off them with a lighted candle. I remember the smell of the burning hair more than the taste of the pigs tails :)
